AIRPORTS

Malaga airport has many budget flights from the UK & the rest of Europe and the driving time is approximately 1hr 10 min to the villa. 

Granada Airport is now only served by  Ryanair and is closer - approximately 50 minutes from the villa.

DIRECTIONS TO VILLA FREJA

From Malaga airport

Follow the signs to Malaga, taking care to branch off towards Motril.  Follow the signs to Almeria - the motorway goes around  Malaga to the East.

There is now motorway all the way until just after Almuñecar, the road then continues as N-340.  This is the old twisty but scenic coast road. (By 2008 it was expected that the Autovia Mediterraneo would be fuly open but..............)

After joining the N340 heading towards Motril, look for the Hotel Salobrena which is on the right. From the Hotel Salobreña continue on the N340 heading East towards Salobreña.

Just after the Km 325 sign you will be turning left at the entrance to Monte de los Almendros. This is on a left hand bend and there are some traffic lights at the junction.

The turning is next to ‘Inmobiliaria Lingwood’.

Continue up this road for approx 2km, go past ‘Administracion’ for ~1km and turn left on to Calle Olmo. Continue along Calle Olmo to the bottom, where it becomes Calle Abeto. Villa Freja is on the left; it is painted white and has a double iron gate leading to the garage with some steps and a parking space to the right of the gates.

From Granada Airport

Follow A 92 for 5 km.  At exit 230 follow Santa Fe, Granada, Sierra Nevada, A 329. After 9 km at roundabout take 1st exit A 44/E 902 towards Motril.  This motorway is now complete to Motril which has considerably improved the journey. At the coast turn right at the roundabout towards Salobreña on to N-340. 

Go past the town to La Caleta then  you will be turning right at the entrance to Monte de los Almendros. This is on a left hand bend just past a large store 'Meubles Medina' and there are some traffic lights at the junction.

On your return  take the road to Granada and simply follow the yellow Aeropuerto signs.
